Samantha Gurah

Tanni Samantha Gurah was born in Oslo and has roots from Ghana.

She has always loved to sing and entertain. Samantha studied musical theater at Bårdar Akademiet in Oslo, and she has worked as a backing vocalist for artist like Mira Craig, Elisabeth Carew, Ost og Kjex and Kohinoor.

In 2010 Samantha performed at the Ultima festival along side Saul Williams in the production of "Said the shot gun to the head". The same year she participated in the Melodi Grand Prix and Eurovision song contest with Stella Mwangi and in the musical film "Skallamann" directed by Maria Bock. In 2012 she was in the production of "HAIR" in Trøndelag Teater where she was understudy for the role of "Dionne". In 2013 she played the role of "Angela/Minnie Mcknight" in the production of "Parade" directed by Renate Stridh.

Samantha has also worked as a soloist in the "The thrill of Michael Jackson" on tour and at Edderkoppen teater. Tanni Samantha Gurah is inspired by Gospel music and joined Traces Gospel Choir in 2008.

Traces Gospel Choir is a small women’s group with roots in many continents.

Traces is a diverse ensemble, with members of different musical backgrounds who sing gospel and positive secular music in Norway and the rest of the world.
